Thank you for your generosity and support of this important program. Camillus House recently wrote about how the simple act of reaching out and helping a neighbor in dire need brings a great sense of warmth and well-being. (Indeed, Pope Francis recently listed “give of yourself to others” as one of the 10 secrets to happiness!) With God’s grace and your prayers and support, we’ll be able to help Camillus serve all who turn to them in the coming months. Bless you for caring and for sharing. Your compassion will provide real relief and critical hope to local individuals and families. The Brothers, who are now members of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God, thank you for your continued support and steadfast commitment to nourish those who are hungry. And, they pray daily for you and your families.

All casseroles for the upcoming months must be brought to Saint Louis Catholic Church during the hours of 7:00a.m. to 9:00a.m. or 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. on the dates listed below on the Casserole Program Calendar.

Someone from the ministry will be by the 120th St. entrance of the church in between the church and the bookstore at both times to receive your frozen casserole. At the time of delivery, you need to check in with one of the committee members who are collecting casseroles, and make sure the committee member checks off your name. This assists us in keeping track of the contributors, and the likely numbers of persons we can feed each month. Remember, the casserole must be frozen and covered completely. This is VERY IMPORTANT.

Please indicate the name of the casserole recipe on the lid of the casserole container (a black permanent marker works well before freezing). Please note cooling and freezing directions at the end of the Ziti recipe.

Also below are the recipes for you to follow.

If you have any questions or comments, or know someone who is interested in joining this wonderful ministry, please call any of the committee members listed below. Thank you for your support and God Bless You!

NOTE*** Please DO NOT bring your casseroles to Saint Louis Catholic Church at the ANY OTHER TIMES.

If you forget your casserole, keep the frozen casserole until the next drop off and bring BOTH at that time.

-Franklin Delano Roosevelt

“Make us worthy, Lord, to serve those people throughout the world who live and die in poverty and hunger. Give them through our hands, this day, their daily bread, and by our understanding love, give them peace and joy.” – Saint Teresa of Calcutta
