Funeral Mass
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
Psalm 23:4
Thank you for choosing Saint Louis Catholic Church to pray for the salvation of your loved one and help lead your family and friends from grief to a deeper faith in the resurrection.
Below are the steps to arrange a Funeral Mass in our church.
- Reserve a date:
Fill out the online Funeral Mass Request form to start the process. Our office will be notified of your request while you read the other steps and have an understanding of the questions we are going to ask you and things you need to do now and before the Mass. - Readings:
Because this is a private mass, we always give our families the opportunity to choose the 2 readings for the mass. You can click here to select one reading from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament. - Music:
You may coordinate all details including song selections with our Music Director. Musician honorariums are $150 for the cantor and $150 for the pianist. Payments must be made separately to each musician in the form of a check at least 2 days prior to the Mass. - Picture:
You may bring a framed photo of your deceased. We have an easel or small table where we can prop it up nicely on the altar. - Eulogy:
We allow one eulogy after Holy Communion for no more than 5 minutes. Please let us know if someone will speak. - Flowers:
We offer you a list of selected florists who have worked with us in the past and who we expect to provide good services to you. You can use your own florists if you want.
We only allow floral sitting arrangements on the altar, nothing standing. Please make sure to take all flowers with you once the Mass is over. - Suggested Donation:
$400 payment via credit card (online or by phone) or check made out to Saint Louis Catholic Church. - Contact us:
Our Funeral Mass Director, Melissa Anduiza will discuss all these details and answer any question you may have.
